What We Collect

HOWTHEFACT does not run reader accounts, comments, advertising profiles, or newsletter collection on the live site. The current newsletter form is disabled and does not submit email addresses.

Server Logs

Like most websites, the hosting server may keep ordinary access logs. Those logs can include request time, requested URL, IP address, browser user agent, referrer, and response status. They are used for security, debugging, abuse prevention, and basic operational diagnostics.

Cookies and Analytics

The site does not set first-party tracking cookies and does not load third-party analytics scripts in the current build.

External Links

Articles link to external sources. Those sites are operated by their own publishers and may collect data under their own policies.

Direct Support

The support dialog lists public cryptocurrency addresses. Transactions on public blockchains may be visible through the relevant network and third-party block explorers.

Contact

Questions about privacy or corrections can be raised through the public channels linked from HOWTHEFACT.
